Nothing is too big or too small to bring to counselling

I am often asked what I specialise in and the truth is that whatever you bring to counselling becomes my speciality. Sometimes you can attribute your feelings to specific events or issues or it may be you have a general sense that life lacks meaning.

Counselling can provide short term effective support for a particular time of stress, change or uncertainty; or counselling can be a more long-term empathic relationship to explore wider existential or spiritual being.

I have experience with many issues; the list below includes just some:

Depression, anxiety, anger

Relationships

Abuse (physical, sexual, emotional, historical)

Lack of confidence/self esteem

Self Image

Divorce/relationship separation

Assertiveness

Family systems/relationships/patterns

Familial mental health & Caring

Lacking in motivation

Life transitions (change in life or wanting to make a change)

Loss

Grief

Sexuality (my work is LGBTQ+ affirmative)

Identifying addiction behaviour

Trauma including PTSD

Stress including work related stress

Carers and supporters of others, at home or professionally, need support too. If this is you, or if you are a counsellor/therapist, do get in touch.

Sometimes you may come seeking clarity with particular situations and then something else comes up in your life or from the past. Counselling can provide a safe, supportive and professional environment if this happens. Change is possible .
